Microsoft increases production rates and broaden the outlets of tablet Surface, after seeing the growing demand of view of purchasing the festive season.
Panos Panay, general manager of the project Surface, says the initial public reaction was notable and that increased production and outlets for people to be able to find the tablet in more places.
Microsoft has signed trade agreements with resellers, without naming them, but did not announce the rate of output growth. The Surface will be sold by retailers in Australia since mid-December, while more countries will be added to the list in the coming months.
Since its launch in October, the Surface sold exclusively by Microsoft, through its own stores available in the U.S. and Canada, while online so far sold (excluding U.S. and Canada), Australia, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany.
The model sold so far is the Surface with Windows RT, which integrates processor architecture ARM, but is not compatible with the known programs of desktop versions of Windows.
The version of Surface with Windows 8 Pro and Intel's x86 processors will launch in January and will be compatible with applications running on desktop versions. It is expected to start from $ 899 for the issue of 64 gigabytes.
